Artist Bio

Drew Knight is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist. His music fuses Synthwave/Retrowave with elements of modern pop. An emerging artist, Drew is one to watch. Between his adept songwriting skills and his crisp, soulful voice, Drew is today’s answer to the powerful pop duo Hall and Oates all in one man. From his unique wave take on Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” to the experimental jams he shared on his Instagram account during the #songcreationchallenge of 2022, it’s clear that Drew both knows his musical roots just as well as he knows how to blaze new trails for us to explore.

Drew is based in sunny Tampa, FL. He takes inspiration from 80s New Wave, 90s R&B, and Synthwave.

“Keep Moving” – Single with Drew Knight and Star Madman

Drew’s first single “Keep Moving” was released in 2021 and features fellow artist Star Madman on vocals (@starmadman). These two offer up a duet of energies in perfect complement to each other.

What influences your music?

“My influence is kind of all over the place. I grew up listening to New Wave and Post Punk, but also have some roots in Post-Hardcore and Punk. I actually played guitar in multiple punk, shoegaze and post-hardcore & metal bands through the late 90s, early 00s.”

What challenges have you faced as an Artist?

“This is actually my first venture as a solo artist and lead vocalist. I have written music and been singing for years, but this is the first time I’ve attempted to do it all myself. I think one of my biggest struggles is figuring out where I fit in genre-wise, because my musical taste is a bit eclectic and changes so frequently.”

What are your future goals with your music?

“Releasing my first EP as a solo artist later this year.”

Tell us about your studio setup.

“I am a microphone junkie! My 2 favorites would be my U47 clone and my Neumann TLM 103.”

What projects are you working on now?

“Currently writing for the EP. I am actually working with Bradley Denniston from Radium Media on this upcoming release and making plans to head out to LA later this Summer.”
