Today I’d like to introduce you to the art and sounds of Cracks in the Real, a digital instrumentalist based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Somewhere between the distant break of a hopeful dawn and the pure dark tones of the night itself is where this artist builds landscapes full of emotion and fills them with stories in words unsung.

What artists or genres would you say your work is influenced by?
Cracks in the Real is influenced by Pornography era The Cure filtered through late 90’s warp records.
What recent challenges have you faced as an artist?
Making a concept album without lyrics!
What are the future goals for Cracks in the Real?
Currently I am focused on releasing Alef, the third and final installment of the trilogy of records I’m working on. The first album of the Trilogy is Mem: Twilight Adorations for an Audience of One and was released in 2021. Shin is the 2nd album and Alef will complete the series.
